Please see the information below for several updates about the Freedom Open Dancesport Competition this Saturday (October 31, 2020 – Halloween!):

“1.LOCATION CHANGE:  Due to current circumstances we have had to change our location. We feel this facility will better meet our competitive/social distancing and safety needs. We are so excited to be at this new venue!
The competition will be held at:

• Spanish Fork High School
  Main Gym
  99 N 300 W, Spanish Fork, UT 84660
  (about 15 minutes south of our original location in orem)

2. Heat Lists will be posted on our website freedomopendance.com by Tuesday at the latest. Please check to make sure your events are accurate. Email us if you have any concerns.

3. The Schedule for the event will also be posted on our website by Tuesday at the latest.

4. Registration – any events that still have openings can now be filled by anyone interested in competing up an age level, or anyone that has not yet registered to compete. Registration will close on Tuesday night. No registration will be taken at the door.

5. Tickets -Any remaining tickets are now open to the general public. To purchase tickets go to our ticket page on our website freedomopendancesport.com. Please purchase tickets in advance. No ticket sales at the door.

6. Health and Safety protocols will be enforced. Masks are required except when dancing. Details listed on our website. Please read.

7. Halloween costumes are allowed.  If you would like to wear a Halloween costume while attending this event we would love to see it! There will be some fun prizes for best costume and best dance moves! It’s going to be fun.

Due to COVID, the team formation events at the Pleasant Grove Invitational today will be held virtually. The public stream of those events can be watched here:

2020 PG Invitational Team Event Stream

Events begin at 2:00 pm today (10/23/20).

The organizers of the Pleasant Grove Invitational this weekend have decided that due to open spots in adult events as well as conflict with the ACT on Saturday morning, Youth dancers will be allowed to dance up into the Adult events! Dancers who are both youth age may register for events in Sessions 7 and 8. The late fee has been removed from Sessions 7 and 8. At this time, all events in these sessions have openings.

Youth dancers wishing to register for these events should use the normal registration pages:

• Session 8 Tickets

Also, make sure to purchase tickets if you register:

You no longer need an access key to purchase tickets. Spectators are welcome!

Household groups should sit together. Spectators are expected to sit in the seating section listed on their ticket for the duration of the session.

Want to add an event?

We have been able to make room for more dancers! With the exception of Session 6 (currently sold out!), all Sessions have openings for dancers in almost every event and session. If you want to add an event, register by following the links on the registration page for the session with your event.

The admission tickets for all Sessions for the Pleasant Grove Invitational this weekend are now available for the public. Here are links to purchase tickets for each session:

Each session has 10 different seating sections. If your preferred seating section is sold out, please select a different one.

• Each session is a completely separate event, ticketed and registered separately.
• Household groups should sit together.
• You are expected to sit in the seating section listed on your ticket for the duration of the session.
• There is no re-entry into any session. If for any reason you must leave the venue early, re-entry will happen at your next ticketed event/session.
• Everyone in the venue must wear a mask at all times. Dancers may remove their mask while competing.
• The venue will be completely cleared between each session.
• All tickets will be pre-sold online. No tickets will be sold at the door.
