2015 UVU Dancesport Festival Heat List and Update

Below are several of the updates:

1. The most recent version of the schedule has been posted online here.
2. If you have a registration fee to pay and have not done so, please contact Linda Moore at Linda.Moore@uvu.edu or 801-863-6827.
3. If you are a UVU student dancing in only syllabus events you do not pay a registration fee.
4. If you need to scratch an event, please contact Paul Winkelman at paul.winkelman@uvu.edu
5. If you would like to add an event, this can be done only at the door due to registration being closed. A different event may only be added if it will not affect adding rounds to that event.
6. There was a miss print on the event roster. Open Junior Rhythm have the follow dances. C,SW/WCS,B,M
7. University policy and Fire Marshal policy prohibit practicing in the hallways of the University. You are welcome to go to room PE 154 to warm up and practice.
8. Heel guards are required on women’s ballroom shoes.
9. If you are in question at all on rule and regulation they are the same as BYU.
10. I am including heat lists in which you can see what you have signed up for. If for some reason you are not registered for an event please refer to #5
11. Please be prepared to dance 30 minutes before your event is scheduled.
12. This year we have an audience participation award. Using multimedia the audience will vote for their favorite dance couple. So bring your family and friend to vote for their favorite couple.
13. Here are a few details about the event.
    1. Date: February and 20, 2015
    2. Event location: PE 142 and 144.
    3. Times: Friday’s Event will begin at 3:00pm. Doors open at 2:00pm
    4. Saturday Event will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at 7:30. Doors open at 7:00
    5. The UVU Dancesport Festival has a very high registration like it did last year. So the event will end close to 11:45pm
    6. Parking: Friday parking is more difficult. There are a couple options
       1. Option 1: There is parking close to the PE building. University classes will still be in session so you may have to walk a distance.
       2. Option 2: There is a visitor parking garage in which you may have to pay a parking fee.
    7. Food: Fast food establishment are on campus and the surrounding area.
14. We would like to thank you for your patience as we implement our new university mandated registration and payment system. This process has had a huge learning curve and look forward to improving the process in the future.
