Provo Friday Schedule and Open Spots

The schedule for Friday events at the Provo High Dancesport Championships has been updated. Please check to make sure you are aware of the correct times:

Also, please note that late registrations will now ONLY be taken at the competition on Friday or Saturday. Please wait until the days of the competition to late register at this point. Here are the available openings for the events as of 1/23/13:
We attended the Provo competition today to watch our son and were amazed at the number of people competing! The only problem was the length of the competition. The days were extremely long and arduous.
We are pretty new to the ballroom scene and wondered why there aren’t local competitions with winners progressing to regional and then state competitions as there are in other sports. Not only would this make competitions more manageable, but also more profitable for competitors as judges would be able to give more feedback due to the smaller number of competitors involved.
The hours are difficult, but almost all Ballroom competitions have this issue due to time constraints and the high number of entries.
The UBEA will have a State Title Match on Feb 15-16 at Timpanogos High School. State Champions will be awarded to students in public school ballroom programs. Provo hosted the State Formation Showdance Championship.
